Drama ini menceritakan tentang Dan Hwal (Lee Jin Wook), seorang perwira militer yang mempunyai tugas untuk menghilangkan sisa-sisa keberadaan dinasti sebelumnya. Pada 600 tahun lalu, Dan Hwal pernah menikah dengan Dan Sol (Gong Seung Yoon) yang berasal dari keluarga terpandang dan cukup berpengaruh. Nasib malang menimpanya, di tengah menjalankan misi ia dikutuk menjadi Bulgasal.

Bulgasal adalah makhluk abadi pemakan darah manusia yang muncul dalam cerita tradisional dari Dinasti Goryeo. Di sisi lain, ada Min Sang Un (Kwon Na Ra), yang dulunya adalah bulgasal, namun sekarang ia telah bereinkarnasi menjadi manusia dan mengingat semua kehidupan masa lalunya. Setelah melalui peristiwa tragis, Min Sang Un mengubah nama dan identitasnya.

Ia hidup dalam persembunyian dan mempunyai misi untuk membalas dendam. Makhluk Bulgasal lain diperankan oleh Ok Eul Tae sebagai Lee Joon, yang memanfaatkan kehidupan abadinya untuk mendapatkan kekuasaan dan kekayaan. Lalu, bagaimana kisah kehidupan keempat karakter tersebut pada 600 tahun lalu? Bagaimana asal-mula mereka menjadi makhluk yang abadi?
